Nuclear Survival Kit Checklist

Minimum Requirements

These are essential items to increase survival chances immediately after a nuclear event.

• Shovel – for shelter construction, hardening, and potential trenching needs
• Crank Flashlight – for light without needing batteries

•   Geiger Counter – to measure radiation levels in the area
•   Dosimeter – to track individual radiation exposure over time
2.  Decontamination
•   Wet Wipes – for easy cleanup of radioactive particles on the skin
•   Dish Soap – for washing off contaminants from skin and surfaces
•   Scrub Brush – for deeper cleaning of surfaces or containers
•   Water for Washing – stored water dedicated for washing and decontamination
3.  Self Care
•   Potassium Iodide Pills – protects the thyroid from absorbing radioactive iodine
•   Shaving Supplies – removes body hair that can trap radioactive dust, especially facial hair for males
